A collection of useful repeaters in minecraft.
The ones i would suggest using:
Duel Block Repeater - For standard signals
Fastest Two Way Repeater - For sending 2 way signals down 1 line
Combined 0-15 Signal Strength Repeater - For repeating signal strengths
No Delay Instant Repeater - For sending signals long distance
I don't have listed who invented these because most are standard repeaters that have been created by different people. It's hard to say who was the first to "invent" each one.
Speed is measured in meters per second, where 1 block = 1 meter.
Pulse duration means the repeater can repeat the duration that the input is turned on for.
Signal strength is the strength of the input from 0-15.
1 tick input, if the repeater can handle a 1 tick pulse.

Compact 7 segment display using a BUD Selector that I found out by accident. Was actually trying to do this with slime blocks, but this ended up being more compact :)
Pretty sure there are more compact versions out there, just an interesting concept that could have some other uses too. Also looks like instant wire can be made using this, although much more expensive…

I created a redstone machine that builds slimeblock flying machines!
At the moment these are very simple slimeblock devices, but maybe someone will be able to come up with some more complicated ones.

It does use up redstone if you are being lazy, but you can get out of the boat to change direction and collect your redstone torches back again.

Sneak peak at a project ive been working on. This contraption can recognise a binary signal from a single line of redstone (the redstone pulses). Then translate it into the letters, capitals/lowercase that it is matched with. I use actual binary to ASCII so anyone can look up the code to use it. Speed is around 3 bits per second :)
Also a look at my 50 character word processor display. Getting close to completion, just need to add the 2D signal shifter.

Working on a minecraft calendar i got a bit carried away...
To make this an 871 million year clock just fill all of one side of the hoppers with stackable items. I decided not to show it in the video because you would most likely get bored after the first decade, so i just put 1 item in each :) This clock system can easily be varied to make different clocks such as 1 min, 1 hour, 1 day and so on.
This is not my original design, i came up with a more compact one but its only tileable to 2 clocks, giving a 9 hour clock (can be seen in the video background). The original hopper clock is from Etho and the tileable design, is by munin295. So all credit to them.
My calculations may be wrong, feel free to work it out yourself :)

This could probably be made into a redstone lighthouse or something, Im not really too sure if it has much of a use. Was just something silly I made by mistake while playing around. Im working on something else tho.

Using the bed spawning trick I have made a tileable elevator that can spawn you at any height from bedrock to 255 in a few seconds. Only 1 thing, you have to die to use it...
This uses my shift register so that it only needs 2 wires to control all levels. Pulse length detecters or coded binary pulses could have also been used with just 1 wire, but they would need more space to decode the signals.
