This is a really nice 7 segment display prototype. It pushes blocks through sand, with there being a sand gentorator at the to to maintain an infinite amount of sand. I have not seen this done before, and I think it is probably one of the best 7 segment displays (at least until the sand glitch gets fixed). The only problems I discovered with this is that sometimes entering one number after another will result in a hole in the display, so you need to set it to blank before changing numbers, and that the sand generator is based off of repeaters clocks and must be facing north/south (at least that's what my tests resulted in). I plan on doing a tutorial for this soon, as soon as I make a decoder that will put it to blank before changing numbers, and I also plan on making a tutorial for the sand generator. This display is nice because it will allow for many numbers of pixels per bar - and be easy to add more; and it doubles as a sand collector, so when you enter a bunch of numbers just hop down and grab some sand! I feel this is a very nice design, easy to build, compact, and will be easy to see from far distance - especially on computers with bad graphics!
