In minecraft, redstone dust has always been notoriously hard to keep powered after removing a power source, and was never practical for use in things like update suppression lines.
This new method allows for much cheaper and safer auto resetting suppression lines. It is compatible with the old rail lines (in case you need a line where a block update anywhere triggers suppression)
