Standard lava blade mob (monster) grinders can destroy many of the items that the monsters drop, but there are ways to make your monster grinder 100% efficient, making sure that none of the items are lost. My previous favorite was the falling damage trap, where you drop the monsters from a monster farm in the sky and they die on impact, but that is undesirable if you don't want your monster farm blocking your view of the sky. In this video I also demonstrate a better way that I just developed in which a lava blade is used but none of the items get burned up. I plan to use this design in my Minecraft let's play, Farm Everything, to make a monster farm that's underground and doesn't require me to make it look classy on the outside.
