In a land steeped in historical and cultural heritage, they embarked on a journey to explore some of the rich sounds that are now at home in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at the crossroads of the Middle East. Passing through ancient cities and ruins, vast deserts, and hidden urban spaces, the recordings always seemed to unfold around mountains – like towering guardians of the music. Hence the project’s name, in Arabic meaning From Mountains; Min Jibaal~the Sounds of a Kingdom.
