Mike Rutherford (Genesis), Escape Club & Climie Fisher talked on GOOD ROCKIN' TONITE's 1988 London Sessions to host Stu Jeffries. Mike Rutherford formed Mike + the Mechanics in 1985 as a side project to the rock group Genesis, of which he was a founding member. In 1988 he was promoting his new album which went on the spawn the #1 single of the same name The Living Years, sung by band member Paul Carrack. The Escape Club was formed in 1983 and two years later they had a surprise hit The Wild Wild West. They are the only British band to have a #1 hit in the US without charting at all in the UK! Climie Fisher were vocalist Simon Climie and former Naked Eyes keyboardist Rob Fisher who met at the Abbey Road studios where they were performing as session musicians. They had two international hits, 1987's Love Changes Everything and Rise to the Occasion. Music videos have been deleted.
