So what if the Commander-in-Chief's job isn't up for grabs. The 2014 Midterm Elections are still important and here's why you should vote!

Why are there so many gosh darn elections
and what is there left to decide,
We already got a President and he's going nowhere,
It seems like a waste of our time,

So you've been told but you best not believe it,
I know they're wrong, wait and see,
And you better vote in the mid-term elections.
In the name of democracy.

One third of the Senate, and all of the House will
campaign just to keep their chairs,
With low teens approval, 90 percent will.

Win because nobody cares,
These are the folks that pass your laws and taxes,
Should they still be in D.C.?

Answer by voting, in the mid-term elections.
In the name of democracy.
That's just the federal jobs.
Remember state and local government.

Judges and mayors and county comptrollers,
With them, your votes got the most sway.
Make sure they operate in your best interests,
And make sure they hear what you say.
This is a right our troops have fought and died for.
So look over the nominees.
On Tuesday go vote in, the midterm elections,
In the name of democracy.
