Ableton's midi tools have been out for quote some time, but many folks struggle to use them in a way that produces results that they would actually use in their music. In this tutorial, I break down workflows you can follow along to in order to get usable results. Commonly I've found that folks set the ranges of the midi tools too wide to the point where the midi produced is too busy or has too much range to make musical sense. Throughout much of this video I will be working with basic sounds, and then I show what the idea would sound like when the synth presets are replaced and properly mixed, so dont judge a book by its cover :) The goal of this video is to refine your overall music creation process, and take advantage of the midi tools to their full capacity.
