This video is an attempt to create a single resource for learning how to use ANY compressor. The various compression concepts (what a compressor is, threshold and make-up gain, attack and release, ratio and knee, and sidechain filtering / routing) are presented chronologically to create a comprehensive understanding of the process. Ableton's compression device "Compressor" is a fully featured dynamics processor, which excels at clean and accurate dynamic control, and due to how fully featured it is, what you learn here will apply to any compressor, plugin or hardware.
