The Mid-Hudson in Autumn is a spectacular place to visit, especially in the morning when the golden light accentuates the Fall foliage. The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Mid-Hudson Bridge spans Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County on the eastern shore and Highland in Ulster County on the western. The Walkway Over the Hudson is a pedestrian bridge which parallels the Mid-Hudson Bridge and was formerly a railroad bridge.
