Just because the all-digital future is chosen for us doesn't mean we have to accept it, and a little bit of fight goes a long way.
Microsoft loses Brazilian court case after telling hacked Xbox user to repurchase their games. Wait, what? Did Microsoft seriously tell the gamer who lost their account to just rebuy their games? Yes, they did. Wow. Such inconsiderate scumbags. Buy the games again? With what money, Microsoft? You took them.
Unfortunately, in the digital world of US retailers, we don't actually own the games that we buy. We just buy the licenses, and these corporations can revoke it anytime. And you wonder why people move on to PC or sail the seas, right?
