Microsoft just bought Activision Blizzard. Jesus Christ.

With every year that passes, corporations are consolidating their wealth and power via buying out vast sums of subsidiary companies. Such gargantuan purchases would've been unimaginable just a few years ago, but alas, welcome to Cyberpunk 2022.

Spurred on by a combination of unfettered free trade and distracted by intentionally divisive fake social progressivism, the western world slums ever forward, into the Bioshock style dystopia, that at this point, it well and truly deserves.

Overly dramatic? Maybe. Or perhaps you're just not reading between the lines!
