Microsoft buying obsidian is huge for Xbox and even bigger for gamers in my honest opinion. They are a top 10 developer in the industry and top 3 when it comes to RPG's. We all know what they do best. I don't think Sony has a really well known RPG under their first party stuff, and certainly not a developer with the respect and catalog that Obsidian Entertainment has. If and when this deal is final and Microsoft buys Obsidian, this is great for Obsidian, their fans, as well as Xbox fans. Obsidian Entertainment having a big budget with their talent is going to blow the doors off of the industry. Microsoft just needs to allow them to have all the creative freedom in the world, and good things will come from that. Let's be honest, Xbox lacks exclusives. Many people claim they would buy an Xbox if Microsoft had more studios and more games worthwhile. All of these steps are a huge step in the right direction.
