Do you want to learn embedded systems programming using CircuitPython with an easy-to-use yet powerful development kit that includes hands-on examples building up to complex projects?

Microchip Technology’s Academic Program is rolling out CircuitPython Workshops featuring the new PyKit Explorer and PyKit Ruler development boards. These workshops are typically 4 hours long and delivered on-site by one of our Academic Ambassadors at your school.

What’s included?

PyKit Ruler Kit Contents:
Curiosity CircuitPython development board
PyKit Ruler board
Adafruit BME680 sensor (Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Gas)
Adafruit APDS9960 sensor (Proximity, Gesture, Color)
QWIIC/STEMMA cable, USB-A to USB-C cable
Header pins for easy connectivity
Integrated features: IMU (Accel/Gyro/Mag), BLE, speaker, 1.14” TFT display, and support for CircuitPython with MCHP IDE / VS Code
Workshop Highlights:
Learn CircuitPython to simplify embedded programming
Solderless development using friction-fit boards and STEMMA connectors
Modules progress from basic to advanced projects, including gesture recognition and IoT demos
Bonus: Hackathon-style challenges to build creative projects like Snake or Super Mario Bros!
