Menopause, Clothes That Don’t Fit, and Still Feeling Fabulous
I get asked all the time how I cope with the hot weather in Asia. The honest answer? I’m not really sure! But somehow, knowing everyone else is just as hot, sticky, and slightly melty makes it easier. Misery does love company, especially if it’s damp and glowing with sweat!
Then there’s the weight thing. Since menopause, the pounds have crept on, slowly, stubbornly, and without my permission! And this is despite eating fairly healthily and walking almost everywhere. Most days I rack up between 8,000 and 18,000 steps without even trying.
But here’s the upside: even with all the changes, I’ve become more confident in myself. These days, I care a lot less about what people think of me than I did in my younger years. There’s real freedom in that.
