MEMORIALS (Electrelane frontwoman Verity Susman and Wire guitarist Matthew Simms) follow their acclaimed first two singles ‘Cut Glass Hammer’ and ‘In The Weeds’ with third track ‘Wildly Remote’ taken from their new album ‘All Clouds Bring Not Rain’ out 27th March 2026 via Fire Records. The duo will be touring their new album across the UK and Europe from April before heading to North America in May for a West Coast run alongside Holy Fu*k, with headline dates to be announced on the East Coast. Out today, new track ‘Wildly Remote’ reveals a completely different side to the band. It is an enchanting folk song that swerves into an unexpected saxophone-tape-loop solo before the final verse returns: delicate and edgy, playful and intense.
“We started this song in a really clichéd way - in a sound check! It was at a memorable gig in Brest, a beautiful port town on the western-most tip of France. Brittany has embraced us and we love playing there! We wanted to try to capture, on the recording, an intimacy and atmosphere that we have found to be an important part of playing live, when in amongst the noisier outbursts come quiet, gentle moments. It’s the juxtaposition of the two and the twists and turns we take between them that we hope keep things interesting!”
