This Friday night, rage pays tribute to beloved saxophonist, ABC radio host and television presenter James Valentine.
We’ll be playing a collection of the music videos and Countdown performances that James appeared in for acts like Models, Absent Friends, Jo Jo Zep, and Wendy Matthews.
We’ll also be lining up his rage Guest Program from 1991, as well as a number of segments from his work on other ABC programs - including presenting the short-lived show Racket in 1991, and as a journalist on the show Review.
Throughout his career James’ bright character brought to life artist interviews and segments on Australian music culture, and to highlight that, we'll be playing some chats James had with musicians like Chrissy Amphlett and John Farnham. We've also tracked down some unique stories he produced on the power of music videos in the 90s.
This Friday night from 11:33pm on ABC TV.
