First of all, thank you all so much for 7k subs! I still have a hard time believing that so many people enjoy my art and animations and i hope you also like the future stuff I put out! ^^
don’t mind me just casually hopping on the trend! I’ve been meaning to make a huge animation reel later this year anyway, so why not do a short one? Besides, this is some nice filler since I don’t upload that much lately (sorry for that!)
Before anyone asks why the older vids have “Malumar” on them, that’s because that used to be my artist name back then before I settled on Favency. (Also at the end there is a small wip for a part I’m currently working on! That’s neat)
Ive actually started animating back in 2011/2012 when Flipnote Hatena was still around, but I dont have these animations anymore what a shame
Overall I think I’ve improved a ton, idk what else to say, other than this was stupidly annoying to edit together

2 and a half minutes?? sorry ahaa the part itself is 20 seconds long lol its easily the longest part Ive done (excluding the projects where I did multiple parts)
Its another simple palette part and that means Im gonna overdo the character animation obviously. Theres no tweening here (except the last shot but that doesnt count) and you can def tell I gave up on some stuff BUT I persevered and finished! Im pretty happy with how this turned out even though some things could be improved. I went out of my comfort zone for a lot of this, I mean, a run cycle from a weird angle? Ive never done that. CSP was reaaally helpful with that. I just winged together a run cycle with its 3d models and it somehow worked
My favorite thing about this is the last shot though. I learned how to somewhat animate in Blender for that and it turned out sooo cool I think I hope to use this effect in future videos too
Oh and Im pretty sure this is the very first time in my 4 years of youtube I made the last part in a map! I thought itd be neat to do it and I was right it is very neat indeed

okay what is the part actually about (spoiler territory)
its about Akemis (aka Haibaras sister for those who dont remember) death basically. Despite her not appearing much it still made me very upset. I still find it kinda funny that she appears in the anime in ep 13 or something and then later reappears in ep 128, but its not mentioned at all?? Pretty sure its because the anime people decided to postpone her death until later because they dont like plot in their weekly murder mystery show, but they created plot inconsistences because of that iirc its wacky haha

This part was originally meant to be a fun side project but I ended up procrastinating the hell out of it cuz depresso espresso and honestly I might take a little break from animating. Im currently in another i hate my art with a burning passion phase and its making animating not fun
Anyway I tried out tweening in Toonboom again and its really really neat! Rigging makes everything SO much easier! Friendship with Vegas Pro tweening is over, now TB tweening is my best friend ~
although I dont really like drawing in it so Im prob gonna do frame by frame in Krita and the rest in TB... idk yet though
Im glad I got to draw Kaito again and I also included Hakuba cuz he barely shows up in the series despite being Kaitos rival which I find sad I like him a lot
In the last shot I included a bunch of stuff Kaito has stolen (more like borrowed). I wanted to try and include all of it but it ended up being too much so I just included the stuff I found most memorable/my favorites ~
