There was a hidden update this past week which gave some members weapons attack animations in f2p. Previously they just disappeared and made you do a punch/kick animation. They still don't do anything to increase damage or help in combat compared to being unarmed, but they definitely look much better.

My favorite animations are:
SoL - 1:06
Torags Hammers - 2:26
Dragon Claws - 3:01
We probably missed some items but testing them takes a while since you need to hop to a members world to equip and then back to f2p to test.
Items we tested that don't have animations: rapier, dragon dagger, d2h, dba, dhally, dspear, rune cbow, rune knives, polypore, dmace, mindspike, dhatchet

A concise guide to abyssal runecrafting. If youre looking to get 44 rc Id probably recommend doing fires with rings of duelling to bank at cw and tele back quickly.
Also look into doing The Eyes of Glouphrie for the 6k rc exp reward if you have the requirements.
Abyss RCing tips:
Upon entering the abyss, head around the circle to get close to the northwest(nature portal)
Theres always a thief entrance next to an agility gap. Thief is much faster.
Use boots of lightness, and if you have the hunter requirements, also a spottier/spotted cape
If you cant use dragonhide, mithril or initiate is recommended for the lower weight
Energy pots easily make up for their cost so definitely use them
You should be able to do runs in 1:15 - 1:30 which comes out to ~40 runs = 1.6k runes per hour")
