Mel B Returned To X Factor Despite Her Visible Illness On The Finale

The former Spice Girl missed Saturday night's show due to a suspected stomach ulcer .

Doctors ordered total rest for Leeds-born Mel – originally Melanie Brown – amid fears she would not even be well enough to watch X Factor on TV in her hospital room.

But the feisty star returned to the show on Sunday night, telling fans she felt "better-ish."

Mel B was hospitalised after it was claimed she collapsed on her way to the X Factor press conference on Friday.

The Spice Girl, 39, was 'seriously ill' and was kept in overnight for further tests after spending the day being treated on a private ward.

At the time source close to Mel confirmed: "She is in hospital and is seriously ill. We are awaiting the result of tests and then we will know exactly what is wrong.
