So, finally, we found the UnderKing: Serenade. After collecting every single standard chip, and conquering the properly named "Secret Area", it all comes down to this.
Serenade, which is speculated to be non other than Mamoru's Navi, is quite an interesting boss. As he says himself, he "respects his enemy, thereby, wins". This translates into his fighting style, which is mainly centered around countering attacks. Thus, the only way around is to fight fire with fire: he is only open to harm while he casts his special attack, so keep an eye on his movements, if he suddenly closes distances with MegaMan, it's time to unleash your move.
However, that's not the end of the story. Upon defeat, aside from handing over the Number 1 Rank, Serenade warns us of an even stronger opponent, that almost cost him his life. The key to this misterious enemy is linked to the BugFrag Trader, so, by using a total of 300 fragments on it (which means rolling the trader 30 times), a huge growl comes out of the machine. Disconnect, come back, and surprise: Bass will be here for a final fight. Turns out, we've been helping him to regenerate by absorbing bugs, as he's now fused with Gospel, the final boss from the last game.
Thus, Bass GS, or Gospel Style, easily becomes the toughest superboss we've faced so far, with attacks that not only hit like a truck, but are also extremely hard to avoid. As usual, he has a Life Aura, that will cover him from any attacks below 200 damage. NorthWind can take the barrier out in one shot, but be careful, as he can bring it up again at any moment. So, try to prepare a nice combo before opening his guard.
