For Kwizera Imani, life before coming to America was difficult. He spent 9 years in a refugee camp in Tanzania before coming to this country in 2008. He learned English quickly, and soon began to excel in school. In high school he became interested in aviation, and decided he wanted to design airplanes. So he came to Iowa State to study aerospace engineering, and is following his dreams in the aviation industry after graduation.
