Doug Jacobson came to Iowa State as an undergraduate in 1976, where he earned 3 degrees. For the Iowa native and lifelong Cyclone fan, it was only natural that he would want to stay on campus and join the faculty, which he did in 1985. Since then, Jacobson has been at the forefront of cyber security research, getting research grants and teaching courses since 1995. He's seen all the changes in computing since it started, and has helped educate and inspire generations of cyber defense professionals.
