4 Wheel City is a hip-hop group and entertainment organization started by Namel “Tapwaterz” Norris and Ricardo “Rickfire” Velasquez. These two talented hip-hop artists and motivational speakers are in wheelchairs due to gun violence. Their mission is to use hip-hop music and culture to create more opportunities for the disabled and inspire people not to give up on life. In addition, they want to show the world that people with disabilities can still have talents, dreams, and deserve to be treated equally. 4 Wheel City performs original music, and they give motivational speeches at hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, fundraisers, and events all over the world.
After a very long and challenging year, we are excited to announce the 2nd annual Danny Awards, sponsored by René Plessner. To give our Award Recipients the event that they deserve, we are pushing the 2021 Danny Awards back until December 12, 2021, at 4:00-6:00 PM EST, in the hopes of hosting it live in New York City, and live streaming it globally via the internet.
A panel of judges comprised of musicians and music industry professionals will have selected top Award Recipients, chosen from video submissions in two categories; “Outstanding Original Song” and “Joyful Expression of a Cover Song”. Each Award Recipient will receive a personalized Danny Award memorializing their achievement, an honorarium of $500; plus, up to a $500 travel reimbursement (reimbursement to be made based on actual expenses incurred and submitted).
