This is a little compilation of all of the Meat Loaf related interview and performance content from 1979, a rather overlooked year, a time when the sequel to Bat Out Of Hell was known as 'Renegade Angel'. The first interview is quite rare and from the day of the Indochinese Boat People Benefit show by Todd Rundgren & Utopia at the New York Palladium, the audio of which I have included here, well Meat's appearance that is. It's interesting to hear the condition of his vocals in February 1979, after having last heard him (on bootleg recordings anyway) at Nassau Coliseum in September 1978 and with The Boyzz onstage in November 1978.

The other interviews are with Tom Snyder on Tomorrow, also featuring Steve Dahl, and with Molly Meldrum for the Countdown End of Year Special in 1979, which aired in 1980 hence the varying date attributions. Anyway with all that said and done as always enjoy this video, everything has been restored and slightly improved, never stop rockin', etc!
