The earlier appearance on TOTP with this song in 2003 was mimed, as opposed to the later live version. Always great to get new TOTP footage, and even mimed Meat Loaf can be entertaining. Enjoy!

![Meat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell (Live with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, 2004)
The audio of this isnt the greatest, but thanks to the Exposures blog, the encore of this rare show from March of 2004 has now been available for some time. Just search Meat Loaf, Auckland 2004 and look for concert reviews and youll find it in no time... (YouTube wont let me put links...)
Ive done what I could to make this audio sound a little bit better, theres only one low-quality image I could find from this show so thats what youre seeing in the video. This is from March 14th 2004 and was recorded at Western Springs Stadium in Auckland. You can just about hear the orchestra in this recording and until discovering it and verifying the claim with newspaper articles I had no clue such a show ever took place. (I also discovered that Lawyers, Guns and Money was in the set right until the end of March 2004 - a full recording of one of these shows would be a pretty awesome thing indeed...)
Again, apologies for the quality - but this is a nice rarity, and the second to last show on the gargantuan Last World Tour of 2003-04!
Enjoy :) - MLBF

![Jim Steinmans PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE - 1989 Compiled Demo
Phantom of the Paradise is a 1974 American rock musical horror comedy film written and directed by Brian De Palma and scored by and starring Paul Williams. In 1989, while producing Original Sin by Pandoras Box, Jim Steinman made his own demo tape for music hed use in an adaptation of the movie. In this tape were early mixes of Original Sin songs, assorted demos, and songs taken from various commercial releases. Here is that tape.

![Meat Loaf - Concert Opening (Live in Birmingham, Dec. 2003)
Heres a little treat for you all - from December 11th 2003 at the NEC in Birmingham, this is a pretty great quality recording which will be up in full sooner or later on the MLBFCollection channel - this is just a test of fixing up the audio a bit, this is a great show in terms of performance and quality and I really dig the intro for this part of the tour (always found it funny how god was edited out of the Wasted Youth Speech) - featured here is the 2003 arrangement of Wasted Youth over tape into a live rendition of Do It!
Enjoy :p

![Meat Loaf - Modern Girl (Live on The Tube, 1985)
I found a slightly better source for the video footage of only this one song from some stadium rock video anthology on the Russian web lol - recorded February 8th 1985 in London at the Channel 4 Studios along with 3 other tracks, appearing on the very popular show (at the time) The Tube. Personally, my favourite Tube performance is The Jams final TV appearance in 1982 - anyway, enjoy!
