Hey dudes, dudettes and dudles!
It's finally here! I've been working on this almost every single day since we entered the new year and I'm so happy with the result!
I also want to thank @flameliberator1835 for wanting to plot with me with their character Henry Blackwood aka the guy Maua still doesn't know the name of... but he's there and I promise she'll ask him next round if I don't get eliminated before then lolol 😂
PLOT

00:51 Gathering courage
Maua is standing in corner by herself at the White Party, contemplating how to approach Mr. White. She's dreamed of meeting him for her whole life, but now that she has the chance to talk to him, she's so nervous her hands are shaking. When she finally gathers enough courage to approach him, Mr. White announces he'll be right back with more win and leaves the room. Despite this being the perfect opportunity to talk to him alone, Maua loses her nerve and walks in the opposite direction.
01:28 Blackout
The storm outside is tired of the party and with another lightning striking near the White mansion, the power goes out and the guests are left in complete darkness. Maua, not being a fan of the dark, starts fumbling around and collides into a man's arms who catches her before she falls. They share some banter before agreeing to try and find candles to try and shed some light on the situation, but before they can do that the power returns.
02:49 The handsome stranger
Maua sees the man properly for the first time and feels her cheeks get flushed. When he playfully asks her if her mother knows she's out, she struggles with forming a proper sentence until a couple of screams demand attention.
03:12 Poor timing
Maua and the handsome man run towards the screams and find Mrs. White bend over her deceased husband's body. Out of pure shock, Maua starts crying and doesn't hear what's being said around her until the man from earlier puts a hand on her shoulder and asks her if she's alright. One of the other party guests decides it's time to leave the crime scene, but on his way out, two detectives have already showed up.

And welcome to the very first podfic of my first long Hollina fanfic. This is my first time doing a podfic, and Im not sure if there are any unspoken rules, or a way people usually go about it, so if any of you know more about podfics, Id appreciate any advice or general tips.
Im very nervous about sharing this, not only has it been a long time since I last wrote something, its my first time doing a podfic along with it. I had never heard of podfics until recently when I asked if people would be interested in me making the fanfic into an audio book, and then someone told me that the word for that was podfic. I had no idea it was popular enough to have a name, but looking back, I should have known. Goes to show that you can still learn new things about fandoms etc. even after being into fandoms for over 10 years xD

This is my MEP part for Nana Wakagimis Téir Abhaile Riú MEP about a young girl falling in love/taking interest in a relationship with a sailor to her familys concern.

Story:
Odettes father tries to set her up with a prince from a different kingdom, but despite him showing an interest in her, she wants nothing to do with him. Its at this moment that her true love, a sailor, comes into the palace to literally sweep her off her feet and bring her with him to his next adventure to the sea.
I went through a few different ideas for this MEP... eventually I wound up choosing the one where I got to shit on Derek. Hes in the top 10 worst animated princes/husbands in the fucking WORLD to me. One day, Ill rant about how horrible he really is, but for now... lets just laugh at him being tossed aside for a REAL himbo! Charmette FTW.

Hollie is easily my oldest and most beloved friend in the (non)Disney editing community. We met each other back in our MMDS days, a studio dedicated to people using non-professional editing programs, so as you can probably figure out, this was many years ago for the both of us xD So, of course I was gonna participate in her birthday MEP again. I adore this song too and when I first heard it, I immediately thought of this story of one character trying to find a connection to contact their lover. I did briefly consider a legit skype thing, but given that Hades is lord of the underworld, I just couldnt take Jane skyping him seriously so I had her use a pendant that Hades gave her. I was gonna show him giving it to her in a flashback, but I didnt have enough seconds xD
