Built for speed. Ready to scale.
Two years after announcing our unlikely collaboration with McLaren Racing, we have reached a major milestone in our mission to accelerate coral reef recovery. Machine One, aka OSCAR, is a breakthrough semi-automated coral-seeding system, designed to tackle scientific bottlenecks and fast-track the deployment of heat-tolerant corals at unprecedented speed.
Alongside McLaren Racing Accelerator, this trial uses background technology developed under the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP). The intellectual property supporting the approach was created by the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS), with robotics expertise contributed by Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
