Mark Roth's research in suspended animation might require you to suspend disbelief. Certainly his work is the stuff of Science Fiction, including hibernation in trauma patients so doctors can perform miracles. It's no wonder that even as the MacArthur Foundation calls him a "genius," he is also listed in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not."
