Main and 1st csb bullet must hit the target on the same frame. Impractical but kinda possible when throwing out long range csb. Connecting into super only lands the first hit and does less damage unfortunately.

Technical arena shooter revolving around controlling two symbiotes. Getting the flow of flower attacks is really satisfying as are the bonus items when you clear waves quickly allowing you to keep the offense going.
Full Wasp upgrades seem excellent for going through the game fast or killing the final boss easily. Full Flower I assume is better for scoring upgrading bullet attacks, maybe the more fun option in the end. Switched to Wasp since I needed more intel on the final boss :V (still nasty.. I think I died to it 4 times in total)
Im playing on the default difficulty with gamepad + mouse and highly recommend trying that control scheme. Its very natural for how the Wasp is the offensive pointer tool. The flower attacks consuming essence (or your own health) still become the real powerhouse the more you improve at the game.. the fact that you heal and potentially deal massive damage with the same timing feels quite unique.
I disabled screen shake & flashing effects and turned down Bloom a little, these get a bit tiring but the game still looks great with them toned down.

In this case the Wasp is controlled with mouse and has a melee attack or held spin that blocks bullets. The wasp can collect essence from enemies or cancelling bullets. The Wasp has stamina which can be refilled by connecting with the flower. Certain obstacles (spikes) will drain all of the wasps stamina instantly.
The Flower has your real hurtbox and health bar and is controlled with the left stick and L1 here. On top of healing when collecting essence given by the Wasp it also shoots out a barrage of bullets depending on the amount absorbed. The flower can Bloom in a circle which breaks enemy shields or marks them to take more damage.
You can aim bullets during bloom which is generally way more effective than the circular spread. There are a couple advanced attacks that drain your health (without breaking score multiplier) like dashing into the flower as its blooming, which shoots a piercing shot at the cost of health instead of essence.
