To reduce energy costs and extend the life of the appliance, its important that the coils remain clean and free of duct and dirt so that heat can be removed from the coolant. This is true for any refrigerator. However as we will see, it is exceptionally difficult to clean a Maytag due to its construction. I will demonstrate every possible method and why it doesn't work before showing how I get the coils clean and the fridge running like new.
