Seventeen-year-old aspiring conductor-composer Maya Miro Johnson finds inspiration in creating balance between light and dark, allowing the ear to familiarize itself with the strange. In her world premiere "wherever you go, there you are," she does just this as she explores the meaning of home in the Tapestry19 festival.
