In Simple Words: Moving a chain of bones from the end backward. Instead of rotating every single joint down the line, you grab the very last joint (like a hand or foot) and drag it to a new spot. Maya mathematically calculates how the shoulder and elbow should bend to make that happen.Example: Planting a character's foot firmly on the ground.
