Taking a look in H1G at the final work occurring before winter here in Australia when temperatures fall below 20 degrees Celsius (However, during the night, temperatures fall to near freezing and wind chill factor can be below -5 degrees Celsius).
Effectively, the soundtrack goes "rhubarb rhubarb" e.t.c. but this is more a blog of the keeping.
The reason there are only nine frames at the top in a 10 frame is to make the "install management" easier and less damaging on the bees, so moving and grabbing frames causes less stress on the bees!
Both hives are building well but will be complete probably in late January hopefully.
