It’s 1934, New York City. This legendary face-off pits Max Baer, the ultimate showman and knockout artist, against the Italian giant Primo Carnera, nicknamed The Mountain Man standing 6’7” and weighing over 265 lbs of pure muscle.
On June 14, 1934, Max Baer defeated Primo Carnera by 11th-round TKO to win the World Heavyweight Championship in a fight at Madison Square Garden Bowl. Baer knocked Carnera down a total of 11 times, with the referee stopping the fight at 2:16 into the 11th round to save Carnera from further punishment.
