'Softly out of kilter' takes inspiration from the vibrant and delicate designs of Alexander Calder’s kinetic hanging mobile sculptures. Performers shift from moments of clarity and unity to independent, winding passages that quietly deconstruct and realign musical material; reflecting the way Calder’s aerial sculptures unfold into an everchanging constellation of metal plates and wires.
