Would you be surprised if the origin story of the Grand Canyon still confounds the experts?
Problem with the scientific consensus is that the Colorado River—even before the Glen Canyon dam stemmed its awesome desert floods—was never big enough to explain the size of the Grand Canyon.
The Colorado River flows west out of the Rockies cutting through a raised plateau called the Kaibab Upwarp—but how does a river flow directly through a massive mountain ridge rather than routing around it?
There are vast missing layers of Grand Canyon sediment known as the Great Unconformity. In certain parts of the canyon, a massive gap in the rock record exists where 250 million to 1.2 billion years of Earth's history have completely vanished.
Re-release of EU advocate and contributor Matt Finn elucidation how EU Model logic may hold the answer to the enigma of the Grand Canyon. First published December 24, 2023.
