This is the score I composed for a BIONICLE short film by my friend and collaborator JTH Studios, also known as Jack Hillebrecht. Titled "Matoro", the film follows the titular character after his iconic sacrifice to save the life of Mata Nui, and how he views life while in the afterlife. It's an amazing short that Jack poured his heart into, and I was overjoyed to write this score for him.

The score consists of a theme I wrote for Matoro, which is heard at several points - notably during the credits. I also used various original BIONICLE trilogy themes by Nathan Furst, such as an excerpt of Lhikan's theme at 0:36, and the main theme at 1:12. Though these reprises are crucial to the story, I found it best to focus the score on Matoro's theme, which acts as a mournful yet heroic piece for the fallen character.
