Acon Digital Acoustica is best known for audio restoration – DeClick, DeNoise, spectral editing – but its Mix & Mastering Suite turns it into a serious mastering tool too. Here's a full before-and-after demo.
In this video, Paul takes a raw, unmastered track and run it through four of the six plugins in Acon Digital's Mix & Mastering Suite, built into Acoustica Premium Edition (or available separately for Acoustica Standard users). I start with Acoustica's metering tools – the level meter, correlation meter for phase issues, spectrum analyser, and loudness meter – to work out what the track actually needs.
From there it's Equalize 2 for a subtle tonal shape, Multiband Dynamics in linear phase mode to control different frequency bands independently, Limit to bring the track up to a streaming-friendly -14 LUFS integrated loudness, and Dither with noise shaping as the final step down to 16-bit. You'll hear a before-and-after at every stage, plus a full A/B of the unprocessed track against the finished master.
All six plugins in the suite – Dynamics, Multiband Dynamics, Limit, Equalize 2, Verberate 2 and Dither – support VST, VST3, AU and AAX, so they'll work in any DAW, not just Acoustica itself.
