I remove an ENORMOUS Hornets' nest that was built inside a trunk on a front porch! The hornets were vacuumed out, and the nest was fed to my CHICKENS!

Species: European Hornets, Vespa crabro. Colony size of 800! Nest height 3.5 feet, 16 inches wide! Vespa crabro (aka European Hornet). "Hornets" (Vespa) are a type of "wasp" (Vespinae). European Hornets are the only established hornet species in the States. There are some controversial arguments that Vespa mandarinia (Asian Giant Hornets) are established in the States; which they are not. A couple colonies removed from a isolated area in the entire country does not constitute as "Established". European Hornets are STILL the only Hornet species in the States.
