LUDINGTON — The Chamber Alliance of Mason County hosted a candidates forum Monday evening at Waterfront Park, featuring candidates seeking their party's nomination in contested races on the Aug. 4 primary ballot.
Candidates participating included Republicans running for an open Pere Marquette Charter Township trustee seat, the 101st District Michigan House of Representatives seat and the 32nd District Michigan Senate seat, along with Democrats seeking their party's nomination for Michigan's 2nd Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The forum also included the three candidates running for mayor of the City of Ludington. The top two vote-getters in that nonpartisan race will advance to the Nov. 3 general election.
