EDEN TOWNSHIP — Members of the Western Michigan Old Engine Club gathered late Monday morning to cut grain in — the old fashioned way, of course — in preparation for the 51st Western Michigan Old Engine & Tractor Show. The pre-show tradition always takes place a week or two prior to the show. The grain is used for various demonstrations at the show such as threshing and baling.
The grain and use of the field were donated by Thurow Farms of Riverton Township.
The show takes place Thursday, July 31 through Saturday, Aug. 2 at the show grounds at Scottville Riverside Park. Visit the club’s website, westernmichiganoldengineclub.org or its Facebook page for more information.
