A new chapter in the arts is taking center stage at Marywood University.
The university launched its new School of Communication while welcoming the Scranton Shakespeare Festival as its resident professional theatre company.

Meanwhile, dozens of students, alumni and supporters gathered on campus Monday for a peaceful demonstration focused on the future of the university’s music, theatre and dance programs. Students say they organized Monday’s event to show that, despite the university’s recent academic restructuring, they remain a close-knit community.
