WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore | Maryland truckers already feeling impacts from port strike @WBALTV11 | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
The longer the massive nationwide port workers' strike continues, the more likely it will impact Marylanders in some way. Maryland truckers are already feeling the impacts of the dockworkers' strike at the Dundalk Marine Terminal and at 35 other ports across the country, which started at midnight Monday and continued through Wednesday amid stalled contract talks between their union, the International Longshoremen's Association, and the United States Maritime Alliance. Without freight coming out of the Port of Baltimore, there is no work for trucking companies and truck drivers.
