The last time the All Blacks played the Springboks at Ellis Park, the rendition of Kapa O Pango was infamously met with not only the usual thunderous chants from the 62,000-strong crowd, but also music, pyrotechnics and a flyover from an Emirates Airlines A380 jumbo jet.
Rennie said that the haka was not only culturally important to New Zealand but is also a "sign of respect" for their opponents.
