The Jericho Connection | Mark 1:41: BART EHRMAN Cannot Explain Why Jesus Said This || The Gospel of Mark in Greek @thejerichoconnection3473 | Uploaded September 2023 | Updated October 2024, 18 hours ago.
We continue the study of the Gospel of Mark in Greek by analyzing Mark 1:41. All of a sudden a leper approaches Jesus, kneels down in front of him, and makes an unusual request that violates all the rules prescribed in the Law. The leper has recognized Jesus to be divine and asks him to heal him, if that is his will. Jesus, instead of rebuking him, follows along and heals him, according to his will. We argue that Bart Ehrman, the most famous atheist New testament scholar according to whom Jesus never claimed to be God, cannot possibly explain why Jesus responded the way he did.
