This one turned out super well. Both tracks had many places where I was able to use some really handy tech. I don't want to explain how lucky I was to get this to actually work this quickly because so many things almost went wrong. Special thanks to LuigiM for support while making this specific one.

The big difference between this TAS and the previous one is the respawn strat, discovered by @Jellopuff in his recent Platinum Runner TAS Strats 2 video. A lot of people were skeptical of Spear being able to perform the respawn but I was able to do it :)

...And the gap between the RTA WR and the TAS BKT for this category widens to more than 1 second for the first time in history!
This was a classic pre-2019 style flap project where I simply decided to improve this run with no specific improvements in mind and then did so.
The improvements are as follows:
- Doing the first turn drifts more efficiently
- Implementing @TASPlasmas second turn slip drift strat from 2019 (https://youtu.be/Pr-HL2I7w4E)
- Getting a lower double trick
- Getting a wheelie at the ending cut (and also approaching it tighter)
Im sure there are other improvements to be found, but this is the best I was able to do, and Im really just enjoying TASing for the sake of TASing while I still have the chance.

I found this a few days ago and wanted to whip something together to show off the new strat and its potential. There are known improvements and a WIP that will become a more optimal TAS coming, and if were super lucky it might be a sub 37, but for now heres the cool one :)
As for Task 13 and Task 14 results videos, my laptop broke so all my settings and presets I had used for TAS comp videos I am unable to access, so I have to wait until I get that back from repairs (which will also have to wait until after lockdown to happen) before I can start working on those. As of this upcoming week, Ill also have Task 15 results that I have on my overdue list :(

After 17 months, Ive finally learned how to properly do the blue ramp.
So... the sub is here! 22.2! And with a new strat?
Anyway, I started off this TAS by saving a frame before the blue ramp by getting the .003 improvement Ive been talking about for the past 9 months, and then finally got the rest of the frame improvement from a better shroomspot (which I had recently learned how to do from the 3lap that was just finished). I managed to get this down to a 22.314 with an unoptimised ending.
I then found that charging a miniturbo during the first shroom is actually faster simply due to the fact that time isnt lost from starting a drift since the ejection is literally a hop (Im saying here that it wont be faster for no SG because the hop to start a drift loses time - but getting a slip drift would be faster if possible).
This actually didnt allow me to save a full frame using the old ramp strat Id been doing (which involved holding full right for the wheelie drop and RFH), but allowed me to do the BKT ramp strat (which involves holding neutral during the wheelie drop and RFH) which saved quite a bit over the old strat.
The fact that the timesave from the first shroom miniturbo wasnt a full frame is why the timesave for the entire run isnt a full 2 frames (0.033). Although, I am very suspicious that there is more time to cut but just wasnt able to do it for some reason.

Back in May 2021, Wade474 found a way to perform the ultra shortcut on this track without 200cc, and made a flap TAS. I had been wanting to TAS this track since 2019, but that pushed me to start work on a lap 1 in August. By October, I was ready to mess around with the ultra, and managed to get it both with Flame Runner and with only 2 mushrooms, making a pretty awful lap 3 to demonstrate what a finished 3lap would look like.
I was worried that there might even be a way to do it with 1 mushroom, so I spent a whole livestream with Jellopuff making sure there wasnt (https://youtu.be/VbTK5If5Kw0), but managed to get a cool ejection (https://youtu.be/VMHZmPZVFHI). Around this time, I became more interested in work on CTGP Backwards, but I came back to it in January 2022 to work on lap 2. I lost motivation at the ultra lap 3, and never worked any further.
When superhopping was discovered in May 2022, I (and many others) thought that CT TASes would essentially be forced to use it whenever applicable. This killed my motivation for TASing for several months, and I never planned to finish this. Over time, this belief about superhopping being required has turned out to be false, since the fun of CT TASes are that there are basically no rules. CTs are already unofficial so you can put an arbitrary set of restrictions on your TAS and people will still enjoy it (in fact, its considered rude to outright state that a CT TAS is suboptimal if its missing superhopping).
That being said, I considered TASing this again last year, but was never motivated enough to work on the daunting task that was performing the ultra. It wasnt until a few days ago that I finally faced the challenge thats been haunting me for almost 3 years, and got this done.

Marth (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClkb9VBvCEq3SMxE9HKS2kA) made the majority of this TAS (which is why I used his mii), I just shaved a few milliseconds off from the blue ramp onwards and kept the motivation up to actually finish the project. More on this further in the description.

In March 2019, the MMM NG flap was lowered to 23.299 by Rocky, using the Flame Runner. In January 2020, Marth improved this to a 23.267 using the Spear (which eliminated the use of the Flame Runner on MMM categories for good). In March 2020, a mini battle occurred between the two of them. Rocky improved the flap to 23.253, Marth improved it to 23.215, and Rocky improved it to 23.199. After this, it seemed the category was done, but actually, Marth had improved to a 23.183 but didnt upload it.
In late November 2020, after finishing the 1:13.172 SG 3lap project, I asked Marth for his ghost so that I could help him finish it, and lowered it to 23.176. In early December 2020, I came back and improved it again to 23.173. I spent the next year or so putting it off and attempting to get more timesave, even asking 5 other people to try to save time without success. Finally, late December 2021, no new TASes have been published in the month, which if held true until the end of the month, would break the 49-month streak of TASes being improved and published. I decided I needed to just be done with the TAS and leave any improvements for the future, however wanted to take one last look at it just in case I got anything. Since the title is not 23.173, I obviously did make an improvement, and it was 1 final millisecond, to 23.172.
There are 3 strats that are significant (not necessarily new) in this run. Over the history of improvements mentioned in the previous paragraph, these strats have undergone the most transformation. The second shroom has been done with some form of spin drift (23.199) and with some form of hard drift (23.267, 23.253, 23.215, 23.183) and has resulted in being done with a hard drift.
The blue ramp has been done with a wheelie drop medium-height RFH drift left trick (23.267), a wheelie drop low-height bonk RFH drift left trick (23.253), a wheelie drop low-height bonkless RFH drift left trick (23.215), a no drop low-speed/low-height RFH drift left trick (23.199), and a wheelie drop low-height RFH drift right trick (23.183). After working on the 1:12.159 SG 3lap TAS, I know that no drop low-speed/low-height RFH drift trick and wheelie drop low-height RFH drift trick are very similar strats in terms of how fast they are, and require slightly different sub-frame positioning (quantised movement, or QM), so are often more optimal than the other when their positioning is more favourable. This flap has resulted in using the strat from the 23.183 simply because it is a direct improvement on that ghost. In the future, this TAS and all other flap TASes with QM locks, would need to be started in the exact correct positioning such that perfect driving allows for reaching said QM lock with no net timeloss.
Lastly, the third shroom has been done with high air off the last mound and a slip drift (23.253, 23.215, 23.199) and low air off the last mound, an early shroom, and a hard drift (23.267, 23.183), and has resulted in being done with the latter strat, due to it being significantly faster. This and a right trick off the blue ramp are the only 2 major timesaves that can be easily implemented on the SG flap for timesave, so I may look into going for that later in the week. I also believe an unfinished timesave on the turn after the blue ramp on this TAS may be salvageable if done in combination with a slightly better blue ramp trick using wheel inputs (most of this TAS was made 21-22 months ago, well before we had the full input range code).
The right trick on the blue ramp on the 23.183 TAS was actually a big thing when I saw it, because it meant the NG lap 1 was improveable (it is considered one of the most optimal laps, and it was made 3 years ago!). I was able to prove this timesave was possible after watching Marths flap (https://youtu.be/OocaZmyAGuk), which was eventually used in the 1:12.159 SG 3lap, as well as the hard drift strat on the main shroomspot (lap 3 doesnt use it because Blazes slightly imperfect spin drift shroom was required for no drop blue ramp QM).
