Kierio04 | [MKWii TAS] DS Desert Hills Flap - 28.291 (No Glitch) @Kierio04 | Uploaded 9 months ago | Updated 1 hour ago
TAS by @Kierio04 (myself).
-0.080 from Previous BKT (28.371 by myself): youtu.be/bmBVR17SOPU?t=49
-1.026 from Current RTA WR (29.317 by Liam): No video
Music: Super Mario Sunshine - Vs Wiggler (youtu.be/jzwOm2t0o7o)
...And the gap between the RTA WR and the TAS BKT for this category widens to more than 1 second for the first time in history!
This was a classic pre-2019 style flap project where I simply decided to improve this run with no specific improvements in mind and then did so.
The improvements are as follows:
- Doing the first turn drifts more efficiently
- Implementing @TASPlasma's second turn slip drift strat from 2019 (youtu.be/Pr-HL2I7w4E)
- Getting a lower double trick
- Getting a wheelie at the ending cut (and also approaching it tighter)
I'm sure there are other improvements to be found, but this is the best I was able to do, and I'm really just enjoying TASing for the sake of TASing while I still have the chance.
