In developer interviews for Mario Kart 64, we heard stories of a level where you drove around a small town. This was cut from the game and never seen in preview videos. This level data was pulled directly from actual beta files recovered from archives, and after tireless work it's nearly in a fully playable state, exactly as it was left inside the file data 25 years ago.
