Gamescom Opening Night Live pre-show just showed Mariachi Legends—a brutal pixel-art combat Metroidvania set in Mexico. You play as detective Pablo Cruz who made a deal with Death herself to transform into La Sombra and hunt down criminals in Santa Mascota. The pixel art is gorgeous. The combat looks fast and expressive. The music is incredible. Day of the Dead folklore mixed with Castlevania-style exploration. This is peak Metroidvania energy and April 27, 2027 can't come fast enough. Day one on Xbox Game Pass 🔥
